privacy policy

this policy covers builtbynitin.com, run by nitin ("i", "me"). my products, like MakeOurs, have their own privacy policies on their own sites.

the short version: i don't track you, i don't run ads, and i don't sell or share your data. if you contact me, i use your details to reply. that's it.

what i collect

when you use the contact form

your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message. they're sent to my inbox as an email so i can reply. they aren't stored in a database on this site.

when you email me directly

whatever you include in the email.

automatically

like any website, the hosting provider receives technical information when you load a page, such as your ip address, browser type and the page requested. this is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. i don't use it to identify you.

what i don't do

• no analytics or tracking scripts
• no advertising or ad cookies
• no selling, renting or sharing your data for marketing

cookies and local storage

this site doesn't set tracking cookies. it saves your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time. you can clear it any time in your browser settings.

services that process data for me

• vercel hosts the site and handles the technical request data described above.
• resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox.

each of them processes data only to provide their service and under their own privacy policies.

how long i keep it

contact messages stay in my inbox for as long as they're useful for our conversation. ask me to delete them and i will.

your rights

you can ask me to tell you what data i have about you, correct it, or delete it. if you're in india, this includes your rights under the digital personal data protection act, 2023. if you're elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your local law, such as the gdpr.

email hello@builtbynitin.com and i'll reply within 30 days.

children

this site isn't directed at children, and i don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

changes

if this policy changes, i'll update it here and change the date at the top.
